.10/06/2010: Hit the Bricks Win

Following up a record breaking performance last year, in which we won Hit the Bricks with an astounding 543 laps and the highest donation to the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund by a fraternity, we had to out do ourselves this year. Not only did we have the top donation again (thanks in large part to Brother Fritts Biesecker), we also were successful in obliterating the record number of laps with 618 this year! Thanks to all of the brothers and alumni for their hard work and generosity!

Also of note: associate member Jeff Shirley is now the record holder for fastest lap at Hit the Bricks with a lap time of 57.56 seconds.

Check out more pictures from Hit the Bricks.

.10/06/2010: Watermelon Bash

We hosted a very successful Watermelon Bash on September 22 with good sorority participation, and a fun evening for all involved! We were able to collect just under 1000 pounds of food and over $1000 to donate to the North American Food Drive!

Check out more Watermelon Bash photos.

.08/30/2010: Sam Adams Concert Successful

We are proud to announce that our benefit concert held on August 25th was a huge success. Over 2,000 people showed up to what some told us was the greatest set-up they have ever seen at WFU. Both Na Palm and Sam Adams put on a memorable show and helped us bring in over $22,000 in ticket sales and donations. After we cover our costs from the concert, we are expecting to donate about $10,000 to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank in Winston-Salem.

Check out more pictures from the concert.

.08/12/2010: Lambda Chi Alpha Presents Sam Adams

Our chapter is hosting rapper Sam Adams in concert on August 25. Ticket ordering and additional concert information can be found here. All proceeds from the concert will go to the North American Food Drive.

.08/03/2010: General Assembly

Brothers Russell Lyons, Matt DiDomenico, and Blake Taylor attended the 53rd General Assembly in Phoenix, Arizona this past July. They found the General Assembly to be a great resource to learn more about the national fraternity, interact with other zetas, and gain information and ideas for improving our chapter. The Theta-Tau zeta received four awards: the Grand High Alpha Challenge, the Alumni Affairs Publication Award, the Membership Recruitment Award, and the Campus Involvement Award.

Check out photos from General Assembly.

.05/24/2010: Seniors, you will be missed!

To the Class of 2010: Thank you all for your endless time and dedication you have given to our chapter. Your departure is leaving a void in our brotherhood which we hope we can one day replace. While you are no longer a student at Wake Forest, you will always be a Demon Deacon and a brother of Lambda Chi Alpha. Congratulations for your hard work, and we wish you all good luck as you set out and build your career, family, and the rest of your life.

In ZAX,

The Brothers of the Theta-Tau Chapter
of Lambda Chi Alpha

.02/25/2010: Conclave

On February 19th and 20th, the Theta Tau Chapter hosted the Colonial Conclave on our campus. This was a conference of chapters from Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina to receive programing from Nationals and discuss common topics of interest. The event was quite successful, with more than fifty undergraduates in attendance, some alumni, and a number of brothers from Nationals, including Grand High Iota Ralph Wilhelm (pictured below with our High Iota, Travis Beal). The days were busy with discussions, seminars, a dodge-ball tournament, and a banquet at the conclusion of the weekend. The Conclave gave brothers from the Theta Tau chapter a number of good ideas to help our fraternity and built stronger bonds with brothers in the area. We were able to hold and attend the event with the support of the Theta Tau Alumni Association, so a special thanks goes out to the brothers who generously donate and made this opportunity possible.

.02/11/2010: Founders Day

On March 20th, 2010 our Theta Tau chapter will be celebrating our annual Founders Day. We encourage all alumni to come out and participate! Details of events will be available shortly, and registration will be sent out by mail in early march. We look forward to seeing the alumni come out! Any questions can be sent to Russell Lyons, alumni chair, at lyonrj8@wfu.edu.

.02/10/2010: Announcement about Conclave

"On February 19-20th, the Theta Tau Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha will be hosting the annual Colonial Conclave. This is a conference of chapters from Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina to benefit from seminars led by members of Nationals and gives active brothers the opportunity to meet each other and share ideas. Seminars will include True Leader and Chapter Programing, which will cover topics that vary from organizational methods to recruitment to esoteric mysteries. Along with other members of the national fraternity, our Grand High Iota, Ralph Wilhelm, and the Executive Vice President, Bill Farkas, will be joining us as we build brotherhood and focus on making every chapter in our region more outstanding."
